Families across Glasgow have been invited to a ‘mug crawl’ across the city this Sunday (September 29).
A creative twist on the city’s famous ‘sub crawl’— a pub crawl that takes place on Glasgow’s ‘Clockwork Orange’ underground – will be hosted by The Craft Pottery, and will see takeaway pottery kits featuring a ceramic mug, paints, paintbrushes and instructions hidden at each subway stop.
Ready to be ‘found’ from 12 pm, there will be 75 kits hidden throughout the 15 Glasgow subway stops, and mug hunters are invited to check The Craft Pottery Instagram stories for live updates when each subway stop is ready to be searched.

Studio director at the independent pottery painting studio based in Washington Street, Beth Hoad, said: “Glasgow is renowned for pub crawls using the subway system and we wanted to capture the spirit of Glasgow with something a bit more fun and interactive.
“One of the most satisfying things about running the studio is seeing a range of people come in, and there’s always a big smile on their face. Pottery painting is an activity suitable for all abilities and ages and it’s a hobby that brings people together.
“Whether you’re meeting a friend, going on a date, or taking on the more commonly known “sub crawl”, it’ll be a lovely day for people to get together.
“This is our way of giving back to the local community and spreading a wee bit of love around the city, but there is a limited amount, so don’t be too disappointed if you miss out. Please tag us on instagram @thecraftpottery to show us your creation!”
Once you have completed your masterpieces they can be dropped into The Craft Pottery’s city centre studio for firing.
