From traversing the skies as a cabin crew member for Emirates, to standing as an emblem of the UAE on the global stage, Debanjali Kamstra, hailing from India, has consistently hoisted the UAE banner high. A resident of this nation, she exemplifies unswerving dedication and allegiance to her adopted home.

Fresh from her triumphant success at the Mrs. Earth 2023 pageant in Manila, Debanjali graced global presence. During the interview, she delved into her victory, reminiscing about how her previous feat as the second runner-up in MRS World 2021 propelled her unwavering dedication.

Debanjali underscored the weight of representing the UAE in the upcoming year, coinciding with the staging of COP 28 within the country’s borders. The prospect of championing environmental causes on a global platform resonates deeply with her and aligns with the nation she proudly represents.

In her view, Debanjali aimed to debunk the notion of ‘beauty pageants’ as mere spectacles, instead highlighting how these platforms empower women to wield influence over pivotal issues. She championed the idea that such events go beyond aesthetics, fostering meaningful impact.

Debanjali gracefully acknowledged the skeptics who questioned her representation of the UAE, despite not being born Emirati. Her response reverberates as a tribute to the diverse populace that calls the UAE home, irrespective of official passport status.

 “I did not win in MRS World, but I’m so grateful for them even considering me. I was the first woman in history to represent the UAE internationally, and I receive a lot of comments that I’m not Emirati and questioning how I represent the UAE. However, I believe that to fall in love with this nation, you don’t need a passport. You can fall in love anytime. This country has given me everything.”
